Muangthong United midfielder Mario Gjurovski learned this lesson the hard way.

After scoring a goal against TOT Sport Club — which turned out to be the game-winner — the Macedonian whipped off his shorts in celebration.

As is the case in leagues across the world, excessive post-goal antics are greeted with a yellow card in the Thai Super League. One big problem for Gjurovski: it was his second yellow of the match.

So his beautiful chip was overshadowed by a sending off. Considering how miserable he looks walking off the field, he will probably be leaving his shorts on in the future.

Sky Sports Germany felt so confident that Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund would march on to the Champions League final that it came out with this outrageous advertisement mocking its Spanish opponents ahead of the semifinal second legs.

The ad opens in a Spanish bull-fighting arena with a matador screaming in agony. We then see the matador, fat, disheveled and defeated, with a Bayern and a Dortmund flag sticking out of his rear end. The words then appear on the screen: “Adios Amigos! The road to Wembley” (translated)

Cheeky? Arrogant? Maybe, but who can blame Sky after the two Bundesliga squads outscored Spain’s Barcelona and Real Madrid by a combined score of 8-1 in the first legs.

The ad hasn’t jinxed the German teams yet, but it certainly came close. Borussia Dortmund held off a spirited Madrid rally on Tuesday, losing 0-2 but squeaking by on aggregate, 4-3.

I’ve been meaning to write some poetry today. Something passionate. Something that matches this sledgehammer heart beat I have whenever I think about the entirely unknown person that doesn’t exist in my life. The one I want to share a dark night and a calm sunrise with. That up-all-night good feeling when you’re tired and more awake than you’ve ever been at the same time. That blissful, insomniac state of consciousness where I feel motivated and empowered. I feel like I can see it. From a third person perspective. It’s a beach. Sauble, I know it but I can’t see any proof. It’s windy so we’re leaning close.

I can’t write it anymore. It’s so good to think about in my head. It’s the one thing I can aspire to and I know it will happen for me.

What I also know, is that it just seems laughable to anyone who reads it. If I spelled it all out, you’d laugh at my stupid sense of romance. You know what, though? The saddest part of it is that you feel the need to laugh. I don’t, because I actually believe that I can do that. I know I can actually do that one little moment and I can be fucking happy about it, look back at right now and be happy that I accomplished something that wasn’t based on money, some fucking car or whatever the fuck.

I don’t know if she’s beautiful, I don’t know if we’re friends. I just know that in that time, I’m just happy to be right there. I know I’ll sleep we’ll that day. I know I’ll wake up with a smile and breathe deeply in that fresh, piney outdoor smell with the sound of cold ass waves hitting the beach.

Yeah. That’s what I know is going to happen. I’m not sure when or with who.. But I can’t wait.

Not poetry, but that’s the gist of it.
